Eid ul-Adha is around the corner. Here is everything you need to know about ordering your qurbani meat, what cuts to ask for, and how to store it properly.

Every year our halal butcher at Taqwa Foods processes fresh qurbani cuts — and every year we sell out faster than expected. Here is your guide to ordering early and making the most of your meat.
Ordering your Eid meat
Call us at (905) 239-7592 ahead of time to reserve your order. We carry:
- Whole goat and lamb (fresh, same-day processing)
- Beef — whole, half, or quarter portions
- Chicken — whole birds or ready-to-cook pieces
All animals are hand-slaughtered, 100% zabiha halal, and processed on-site by our butcher.
Recommended cuts for Eid dishes

Storing your meat
- Fresh meat should be refrigerated and used within 2 days or frozen immediately.
- Portion into 500 g freezer bags before freezing — it thaws faster.
- We sell freezer bags and airtight containers in-store.
Everything else for Eid cooking
Don't forget — we stock full Shan Nihari, Haleem, and Korma masala packs, Falak basmati rice, desi ghee, and fresh produce to complete your Eid spread.
